Special Called Meeting
The Loudon County Commission will hold a Special Called Meeting on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 6 P.M. in the Loudon County Annex Building to consider the adoption of the 2008-2009 Budget Year-End Amendments and the adoption of a resolution and proposals for Shaw Ferry Road and Highway 11 improvements. The regularly scheduled Commission Meeting for July 6, 2009 and, therefore, the Commission Workshop Meeting scheduled for June 15, 2009 are cancelled. The normal meeting schedule will resume in August.
Notice from Loudon County Animal Shelter
Volunteer readers were at Philadelphia, Steekee, Eaton, Loudon, and Highland Park elementary schools May 3 through 9 reading to students in recognition of American Humane's Be Kind to Animals Week®. Books with messages of respecting animals and tips for being responsible pet owners were shared with the students.
The Loudon County Animal Shelter thanks the school principals, librarians, and community volunteer readers for their participation.
